We are proud to share our award-winning coffees which have brought home top honors from several national competitions, including the 2016 National Roaster of the Year, 2nd place in Americas Best Espresso in 2016 and 3rd place in 2017, Overall Small Chain Champion at Golden Bean North America in 2019, Double Gold awards at the prestigious 2023 Aurora International Taste Challenge in South Africa, Good Food Award Finalists in 2021 and Good Food Award Winners in 2017, 2020 and2024.

The Good Food Awards is one of the highest honors in the food and beverage industry.
CRIMSON is proud to have won the Good Food Awards this past year in 2024 with our OneGuatemala Finca El Morito coffee––sourced by Jorge De Leon Jr. and grown by Roberto Monterroso in the department of Jalapa.

CRIMSON is no stranger to this award- as we have also received Good Food Awards in as 2017 and 2020 for our Kossa Kebena Coffee. We have also had the honor of being named Good Food Award Finalists in 2021.

Winners of theGood Food Award not only came out on top in a blind taste test, butalso demonstrated an outstanding commitment to sustainable environmental and social practices in the production of their products.

The Good Food Foundation recognized 215 exceptional food and drink crafters in 18 categories from across the United States as this year’s Good Food Award Winners. CRIMSON is proud to be only one of 12 winners in the coffee category chosen through a rigorous blind tasting and sustainability vetting process from nearly 2,000 entries.

Roast Magazines National Roaster of the year

 

In 2016 we were awarded the Macro Roaster of the Year at the Golden Bean competition. This Nashville competition also marked the second year we have won Golden Bean medals in all categories entered.

We earned five medals for Wayfarer Blend, including gold in Franchise/Chain-Milk Based, silver in Franchise/Chain-Espresso, and bronze in the Franchise/Chain- Expresso, milk based (Late) and Expresso, (Short Black) categoris.

Golden Bean

Roots Conference 2023

 

Golden Bean is the largest coffee roasting competition in the world and has been running in North America for 10 years. This year’s prestigious event, held in Columbus, Ohio August 9-12, saw 700 coffees judged from 300 North American coffee roasters. All coffees were judged blind by coffee industry professionals and roasters from around the world, with over 100 coffee judges attending.

CRIMSON has had the honor of winning several medals and awards throughout the years at the Golden Bean competition both nationally and internationally for ourcoffees.

In 2023, CRIMSON placed 2nd for Small Franchise Roasters at the Golden Bean competition. We submitted coffees in various categories––NARSA Natural, Wayfarer Blend and Crimson Espresso––all earning silver medals.

America’s Best Espresso

In 2016, Wayfarer Blend arose from a field of 24 outstanding coffees to a runner-up finish in the America’s Best Espresso Eastern Championship at Coffee Fest New York. We returned the next year and finished in 3rd place in 2017.

The Aurora International Taste Challenge (AITC) was established to recognize and award food and drink excellence internationally while helping consumers purchase award-winning, expertly-rated products with confidence.

CRIMSON had the honor of winning double gold at the 2023 Auora Taste challenge with our Wayfarer Blend and NARSA Natural coffees.
