Crimson Named As A 2024 Good Food Awards Finalist!

We are honored to join the competitive list as a 2024 Good Food Award finalist for our OneGuatemla Finca El Morito coffee–– sourced by our friend Jorge De Leon Jr. and grown by Roberto Monterroso in the department of Jalapa.

This past week, the Good Food Foundation announced their Finalists for the 2024 Good Food Awards, recognizing 311 outstanding companies across the nation who are dedicated to sustainable, delicious, and responsibly crafted food.

This wouldn't be the first time Crimson has been recognized by the Good Food Foundation. We won in 2020 with our Kossa Kebena coffee in a blind tasting among 1,835 entries from 43 states across the country.

Finalists who make the list go the extra mile to push boundaries of taste, quality, and ethical production. This year's selection showcases the “best of the best'' across the culinary landscape. Crimson was chosen from a pool of over 1,650 entrants across 18 categories––and we are only one of 24 finalists in the coffee category.

According to The Good Food Foundation, “2024 Finalists represent a diverse array of culinary traditions, techniques, and regions, embodying excellence within their craft.”

“These exceptional producers have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to not only creating extraordinary flavors but also to sustainable practices, supporting their communities, and fostering transparency throughout their supply chains. This year's Finalists are true leaders in the good food movement,” said Sarah Weiner, executive director of the Good Food Foundation.

The 2024 Good Food Award Winners will be announced on April 29 at the Good Food Awards Ceremony in Portland, Oregon, alongside the Portland Mercantile on April 28. Ticketing and registration for Awards Weekend will be available later this month on goodfoodfdn.org, so, stay tuned!

Soon, you can try Finca El Morito in stores but ONLY for a limited time. Check out our social media at @crimsoncolumbus for updates on its release.
