Coffee Roots

The story of Jose Julian Giraldo and Crimson goes back to the early 2010s when we met him through Instagram and eventually connecting at a coffee show. We became Jose's first buyer in the US, with the purchase of a moka variety of coffee that became our first special release coffee. Fast forward to 2018 when we made our first visit to see the operations of Las Marias and Cafe 1959. We've offered a few of Jose's coffees in the past, but this release is super special, as we shared this lot with only one other roaster in Japan. Intended for competitions, this coffee is super limited with only 50lbs left. The coffee was processed using a cold room, controlling the temperature of fermentation to drive flavors rather than adding ingredients. The result of weeks of work is this beautiful cup, giving us notes of champagne floral, bright fruits, and loads of spices. This coffee is a beacon of the long relationship and amazingly hard work from our friend Jose.

****THIS COFFEE WILL BE ROASTED EVERY WEDNESDAY, SHIPPING EVERY THURSDAY (PLEASE READ THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCRIPTION)****
